The dance ministry is made up of young, passionate Christians who are constantly seeking new and innovative ways to worship God.

We believe the gift that God has given us in dance has the ability to break strongholds, bring healing and inspire joy! Each member contributes creatively and seeks the “master choreographer” (God) for fresh ideas on how to convey the word through movement.

It is an honour to have the liberty to “dance like David danced” in the house of our lord!

As a team we feel extremely blessed to be in a Church that allows us the freedom and creative licence to express ourselves with the gift that God has given us. I know for some members it’s a lifeline, something that keeps them connected and accountable to the Church whilst still being able to do what they love – DANCE!

The team is made up of lively, young people who are passionate about God and are seeking new ways to worship Him. For me, this is a winning combination and what some may lack in ability, they make up for in zeal and vice-versa. Thus balancing out the team and causing us to work hard to attain the unity that is needed in any ministry.

If anyone were to walk past our rehearsal on a Monday evening, they’d be guaranteed to hear laughter. We laugh A LOT! It creates a great working atmosphere for what we do and gets rid of  any frustration or discouragement one may feel if struggling with a particular movement/section.

However we also work very hard and I would say to anyone who feels they have the ability and are considering joining – PRAY.
Matthew 22.14 says: “For many are called, but few are chosen”

Check your heart and consider why you would want to serve in this ministry, be sure there is no hidden agenda, selfish ambition or desire to be seen on the platform. As a ministry we have a responsibility to convey a right Spirit to the congregation so we must all be; like-minded, having the same love, being one in spirit and purpose (Philippians 2.2)

The type of dances we do vary; from aiding the ministry of the Word through visual interpretation, to encouraging the congregation to get on their feet and join us in praise!
We love what we do and count it an honour to represent God and V2V through this gift.
